Funding Provides 5 New Projects

We can announce that due to a successful funding application, our community work will see us launch 5 projects over the upcoming months. Huge thanks go to the National League Trust for enabling us to continue our work within our community.

The National League Trust (NLT) is run by every club across the 3 National Leagues and allocates funding to clubs’ various Trusts, charities and CICs to support the activities, community work and sports provision in their towns. The NLT works just like the EFL Trust for League 1 & 2 clubs by offering grant aid and development advice across many areas. The aim of the NLT is to encourage every National League club to engage with its community. The grant aid is only possible thanks to the generous support of the Trust’s funding partners, the Premier League and the Professional Football Association.

Throughout our work amongst the many fantastic groups within the local community, we have highlighted 5 projects.

  1. Relaunch of the FA Comets disability football programme for children of all disabilities aged 5-11
  2. Introduction of football session for blind or visually impaired adults and children
  3. Neurological football session for people with symptoms of Parkinsons, Dementia, Alzheimers or any other brain condition
  4. Recreational football for women and girls of all ages
  5. Extra time hub an initiative to help support our older community through non football related activities

These 5 projects will run throughout the year, where possible, and all sessions will be free of charge. We will announce more details of all 5 of these projects over the next couple of months, so please keep an eye on all the clubs’ social media platforms.
